Located at 3310 University Ave, San Diego, CA 92104, Great Wall Express operates as a chinese restaurant serving San Diego in California. This page gathers the practical details people usually look for before visiting: where it is, how to reach it, when it opens and how customers rate it.
Chinese restaurants in the United States range from steam-table lunch counters to white-tablecloth Cantonese seafood halls, and most fall somewhere in between: a laminated menu, a lunch special board, and combo plates priced a few dollars below the dinner menu. Ordering by number off the menu is normal and speeds things up, especially at takeout counters. Family-style ordering, where a table shares several dishes with rice rather than each person getting an individual entree, is standard at sit-down spots and usually cheaper per person. Many neighborhood restaurants are cash-preferred or charge a small card fee, so it is worth asking or checking the door before you order. Delivery apps cover most areas, but calling the restaurant directly is often faster and avoids the markup.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. On most of those days it is open 10 am–8:30 pm. You can reach Great Wall Express at (619) 281-6094; calling is usually the quickest way to ask about availability, prices or directions. San Diego is in California, on the West Coast, where the climate ranges from foggy coast to hot inland valleys, wildfire season can affect air quality in late summer, and traffic is the main thing to plan around. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and San Diego follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

A hole in the wall worth stopping by for some 'junky' Chinese food. The chow main is thick and orange, not authentic at all, and not Panda Express thin noodles :) and the orange chicken is a bit moist, not crunchy or hot/spicy, and the beef broccoli is yummy. I love Chinese food like this sometimes, hits the spot, reminds me a little of childhood especially out in the sticks where Chinese food was basically this style, and nothing else. And they were very friendly. The prices were right, too, for the combo, not super expensive but not too cheap where you're suspicious of how they are cutting corners. Will come back again.

For a combo meal and a soda coming out to $11 you get more than what you pay for I'd think. It's not overflowing like people are making it out to seem but for how cheap it is I'd say it's worth it. The lady at the front was nice too. I'd definitely go back again

Orange chicken was tasty! The beef and broccoli was very tender. I have had their jalapeño chicken wings and egg rolls all is good here!

Love this place for a quick bite. Chow mein is tasty, lots of veggies and the noodles have a nice chew to them. Love the veggie egg rolls. They have curry flavor to them. I've tried orange chicken, mushroom chicken, chicken curry, BBQ pork, and sweet and sour chicken. All were pretty good. I like that they don't overcook the chicken. It's always nice and moist and tender. The boba drinks are on my "to try" list.
